General Questions

  • How often should I have my property pressure washed?

Most homes and businesses in Georgia benefit from pressure washing at least once per year. Properties with heavy shade, trees, or traffic may need service more frequently—every 6 to 9 months—to prevent mold, mildew, and organic buildup.

  • What areas do you serve?

We serve Harlem, GA and surrounding communities. If you're unsure whether you're in our service area, give us a call—we’re happy to check and schedule accordingly.

  • Are your services insured?

Yes. Performance Pressure Washing is fully insured for both residential and commercial pressure washing services. You can trust that your property is protected while we work.

  • What types of surfaces do you clean?

We clean a wide range of surfaces including siding, roofs, decks, fences, driveways, sidewalks, patios, parking lots, building exteriors, vehicles, and more. We tailor our method to each surface to avoid damage and ensure thorough cleaning.

  • Do you use eco-friendly cleaning products?

Yes. We use biodegradable, environmentally safe detergents that effectively break down mold, mildew, algae, and grime without harming plants or pets when used properly.

Soft Washing and Safety

  • What is soft washing, and when is it used?

Soft washing is a low-pressure cleaning method combined with detergents to gently remove organic growth and dirt. It's used on delicate surfaces like roofs, siding, painted trim, stucco, and wood. It’s the safest way to clean materials that could be damaged by high pressure.

  • Is soft washing safe for my plants and landscaping?

Yes. We take precautions to pre-wet surrounding landscaping and rinse thoroughly after cleaning. Our cleaning solutions are designed to break down quickly and are diluted further during application.

  • Can pressure washing damage my siding or roof?

If done incorrectly, yes. That’s why we use proper pressure levels and soft washing for vulnerable surfaces. Our technicians are trained to assess each material and use the safest method possible.

  • Will water get into my home during roof or siding washing?

No. We avoid spraying directly into vents, under siding, or against window seals. We take care to avoid water intrusion by working from proper angles and using low pressure where needed.

Service Preparation

  • Do I need to be home for the service?

Not necessarily. As long as we have access to water and the areas being cleaned, we can complete most exterior services without you being present. We do recommend being available at the beginning or end if you'd like a walkthrough or have specific concerns.

  • How should I prepare my property before cleaning?

     We recommend the following:

    • Remove vehicles from the driveway or work areas
    • Move outdoor furniture and decorations away from surfaces being cleaned
    • Close all windows and doors
    • Notify us of any damaged or fragile surfaces
    • Keep pets indoors during the cleaning process

  • Do I need to turn off exterior lighting or electrical outlets?

If outlets are uncovered or unsealed, we suggest turning them off for safety. Please let us know if any electrical components are exposed so we can work around them carefully.

  • What if it rains on the day of my appointment?

Light rain usually does not affect our ability to complete the job. In cases of heavy rain or storms, we may reschedule for safety and quality reasons. We’ll contact you in advance if weather becomes a concern.

Results and Post-Service

  • How long will the results last?

Most surfaces stay clean for 12 to 18 months depending on weather, shade, and material type. Regular maintenance services help keep buildup from returning too quickly, especially on shaded or moisture-prone areas.

  • Will pressure washing remove all stains?

While our equipment and detergents remove most organic stains and dirt, some deep-set stains—like rust or long-standing oil—may not come out completely. We’ll let you know what to expect before beginning.

  • Will I notice the results immediately?

Yes. Most customers notice a dramatic difference right away. Some soft wash treatments continue to work for 24 to 48 hours as the solution breaks down remaining organic growth, especially on roofs.

  • Can I walk or drive on surfaces right after cleaning?

In most cases, yes. Once the surface is dry—usually within a few hours—it’s safe for use. We’ll advise you if there are any wait times for specific materials or treatments.

  • Will pressure washing affect my landscaping or lawn?

We take extra care to avoid harming plants, grass, and surrounding features. We rinse thoroughly before and after applying cleaning solutions and use low-pressure sprays near delicate areas.

Estimates, Pricing, and Scheduling

  • Do you provide free estimates?

Yes. All quotes are free and come with no obligation. We’ll either visit the property or review photos and measurements to provide an accurate estimate.

  • Is pricing based on square footage or service type?

Both. Some jobs are priced by square footage, others by service type or level of buildup. We provide clear, detailed quotes before any work begins so you know exactly what to expect.

  • How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking at least one week in advance, especially during spring and fall. However, we often have next-day or same-week availability. Contact us to check current openings.

  • Do you offer recurring maintenance plans?

Yes. We offer seasonal and annual maintenance packages for residential and commercial clients. These help prevent buildup and reduce the cost of more intensive cleanings.
